Hello! I'm Xiao, industrial designer and BFA candidate at California College of the Arts.

I believe that good design is the result of well-informed decisions. Through research and iterations, I may eliminate assumptions and biases, to get to the most ideal solution to a given problem.

When I approach a design problem, I always try to understand the concepts behind it. By looking at the product from different perspectives, understanding the design context or its technical constraints, I can make my solutions more effective and intuitive.

This conceptual thinking also allows me to be more comfortable with new concepts, be resourceful and versatile, and able to quickly adapt to a rapidly changing industry.
